To all students and parents...
Dear Students and Parents,
As this academic year draws to a close I wanted to write to you all to thank you for all your incredible hard work and support to ensure that, despite very challenging circumstances, we have had another very successful year at Cambridge English School.
We all hoped that this year would be ‘normal’ but, sadly, this was not the case, and we have spent the entire academic year online. Throughout the course of the year our teachers have delivered the very best exciting and engaging lessons possible with a remote platform, and your engagement in this has been incredible.
We know how hard it has been for all of you, being stuck at home, staring at a computer screen all day, but the quality of your learning has been wonderful. In almost all of the lessons that I ‘visited’ through Teams, I saw students working so hard, eagerly joining in with all activities and producing much excellent work. Even though you have not been in school, the progress you have made has been truly inspiring, and the support from your parents has been wonderful. This whole year has really been a ‘Team’ effort, with the teachers, students and parents working in perfect partnership to ensure the very best outcomes for all of you.
Despite working through a remote platform, I am thrilled that we were able to offer, and you were keen to engage in- Virtual Sports Days, Virtual National Day Celebrations, Various competitions and Virtual Graduations. Also, subjects which we thought would be tricky online like Art, Music and PE have been excellently adapted and delivered by the teachers, and again your engagement and effort has really made these a success.
With all the hard work you have put in this year, you really deserve a lovely summer break and I hope the situation continues to improve and you find plenty of time to rest, play, relax and see friends and family. If you are traveling, I wish you a wonderful time and to stay safe.
I hope to see many of you next year, and hopefully in school. Our new year will start from September 5th and we are busy making the school safe for your return, whatever form that may take. We will soon be telling you all about the arrangements for next academic year, once the Ministry approve our plans and we can’t wait to see you.
In the meantime, students- thank you for being amazing, for working so hard and all your efforts. Parents- thank you for all your support, flexibility and understanding.
Have the very best summer, best wishes,
Leigh
